Manasota Key is located south of Venice Beach along the Gulf of Mexico and is home to Manasota Beach, Blind Pass Beach, Englewood Beach, and Stump Pass Beach. The atmosphere in Manasota Key is that of old Florida with several great restaurants and gift shops on the island and in Englewood. Manasota Key is not as popular as many of the other well known Keys and beaches in Southwest Florida, and many of the beaches are undeveloped, naturally preserved and most are not crowded. All of the above makes the beaches of Manasota Key great affordable vacation spots.
Englewood Beach is the most popular beach on the key and has plenty of parking, lifeguards, picnic tables, showers, restrooms, a pavilion, and a large play area for children. Manasota Beach is at the northern most end of the key and has no lifeguards but there is free parking, picnic tables, showers, and restrooms. At the southern most end of the key is Stump Pass Beach which also has no lifeguards. Blind Pass Beach is the most isolated on the key. It also has no lifeguards, but does offer free parking, picnic tables, and restrooms. In addition, Stump Pass Beach has a nature trail with dunes and wildflowers.
